Friday, May 22nd

We are hard at work on our Mystery Person Sentences. On Tuesday, May 26th, your child will present their ten sentences to the class. They will also be required to turn in their notes and their four resources (2 books and 2 Internet Sites). Please check with your child to see that they are prepared for this activity!

Have a great Memorial Day weekend! Sunscreen and Bug Spray will be out in full force I'm sure. If anyone is at the Division III world series, look for me! That's where I'll be hanging out!

Yeah! The rain held off and we participated in the track meet today! The kids were great! Behavior wise, sportsmanship wise, and performance wise. We had a fantastic day! I've attached a couple of pictures!

Have a great weekend and don't forget to look over your science flashcards! The flashcards and reading are the only homework.

Rainy Wednesday

What a drippy wet Wednesday we are having! Today, we had our incentive reward. Due to the weather, we were forced inside for a movie.

We continue to work on decimals. We've added the thousandths place. It was a bit confusing, but we'll keep working on it!

The track meet was moved to Friday! I hope to see some of you joining us.

I've added a picture from our rainy day at Grignon Mansion!

Happy Monday! It's great to see the sunshine. Today we are going to continue working on persuasive writing. We are trying to learn the difference between persuasion and begging. Remind them of that when they are trying to convince you of something they want. :)

I'm still looking for Bay Beach forms from many students. If you are planning on coming, please jot a note in your child's agenda or send in the green note that was sent home.

Be looking for math homework tonight and continue working on the Science flashcards!

Thursday, May 7

What a beautiful day! Too bad we didn't have this weather for our field trip yesterday. Even though it rained, the kids seemed to learn a lot and enjoy the trip. Thanks to Mrs. Goldben for coming with us and chaperoning in the rain. I'm glad no one melted as we're all so SWEET!!

Your child has math homework tonight. They are practicing with decimals and fractions, showing how each shows a part of a whole.

Continue to practice the flashcards for Science!!! We'll be having a test on 5/23 over this material.

If you are planning on chaperoning for Bay Beach, please let me know by sending back the sheet sent home or jotting a note in the agenda.

May 6th

Today we go to Grignon Mansion, as long as the weather holds out! Looking forward to a great learning experience. It's always a fun trip!

We've begun decimals in math. Your student should have brought their math test home yesterday! Take a minute to look it over.

We're beginning a fun writing project in Social Studies. We're going to choose a famous person from Wisconsin, research them and then have our friends guess who we learned about. Ask your child who they've picked.

A great time was had by all on our trip to Madison! Thanks for all the extra arrangements you made to get your child to school a bit early! I've attached a couple of pictures from the trip!
